Mini Nothing But Flowers photo book update, just because I want to keep reminding people this project exists... I scheduled time this weekend to work on the book and my hope is I will be very close to done with the layout by then. Also on a personal note I just went on a mini road trip and found some great stuff that might work for the book, so I need to get that roll of film developed ASAP.

Yesterday I mentioned that we were trying to fill some holes in the Nothing But Flowers book. I am looking for some very specific images if any photographers have them: 1) A horizontal photo of an abandoned mall (with plants growing) 2) A horizontal photo of an abandoned pizza hut (with plants growing) 3) A straight on photo of a building covered in plants that matches the page below and works better than the 4th image. This one is okay, but we can probably do better.

Nothing But Flowers update: 95% done laying out the photos. There are a few holes I am trying to fill and I might add a couple spreads to fill out the book but very happy with where I am after putting this project off for months. Still a bunch of steps to go: 1) Need to put the pages in order. 2) Need to figure out how to credit everyone. I haven't decided if names will appear next to the pictures or finding a way to make it clear in the back. 3) Writing an intro/ letter to editor thing and whatever other text goes in there outside of the credits. 4) Convincing my very busy designer to find some time to go over all my design work and fix it, layout the text and help me design the cover. I am sure he can bang it out in an hour but he has a 1 year old and is busy casually working on the title design for Oscar winning movies and shit. 5) Launching pre orders because I have a feeling we are going to be slightly over budget. 6) And finally printing the damn thing. 📷 @heathernstout @jordannicolette @puchespics

Nothing But Flowers Transparency update as it's been a while since I have done one of these. Last month I spent $31 of our funds printing 4x6 prints of all the photos in the book edit so that I could lay the photos out on the floor. Makes life much easier. I just sold our Zora claim for just under $30 USDC so we are pretty much back to even. I also swapped some remaining $degen for roughly $43 USDC. The $72.92 USDC from the two swaps will sit in the wallet for the time being. Not including the ~$73 USDC, our total raised (minus expenses) is now: $1459.10.

Working on the Nothing But Flowers book layout and I just realized that @samhorine and @mightymoss both submitted photos of the same sign. When I was going through my pile of images I assumed the same person took them.

Quick Nothing But Flowers update... I have laid out about a third of the book so far and I probably have another third of the book that is laid out in my head. That last third is where it is gonna get tough but it's coming together pretty nicely. The hardest part is really just sitting down to do it.

Continuing to work on the Nothing But Flowers layout. I am looking for a very specific image. I need a photo of birds, but not a close up nature shot, but with some sort of man made element, but one where there's also no sign of humans. Think of birds in an abandoned house or nesting in an old building, or in a tree in a deserted area. It's gotta be a photo you actually took.

Just wanted to jump in with another update. After spending too long trying to lay out the book on the computer I decided to just print out everything as 4x6 prints and started laying it out on the floor of my office. It's helped tremendously, but it's quite a challenge matching different photographer's styles. Even if the images match, maybe the style doesn't. I think in the end I might end up pairing down the images more than I had already planned which I know will be disappointing to some people, but will make for a better book. Sorry this is taking so long, both my girlfriend and I have had some health issues and life has just gotten in the way... but the book will exist one day.

Just wanted to let you guys know that our photo book project is still happening, all the money is still saved for the project and I just need to lay it out and I haven't. Today we are finally reaching out to people for high resolution images for the book! We received a ton of submissions and narrowed it down to the images that we think make sense for the rough edit, but these aren't the final selections yet. We will be DMing a link, and I know people are rightfully weird about clicking links, so doing this post to let you know that the link is to a medium.com post which will then link to a google form. You won't be asked to do anything with your wallet or anything like that. If you have any concerns feel free to reach out. Lastly, if you want to submit more images, it's not too late. Just drop them in the comments. The more images we have to work with the better. Thanks!

Wanted to give everyone an update on the Nothing But Flowers photo book. I wanted to have started getting high res images from people several weeks ago, but I have just had some real life stuff get in the way. I am currently on a much needed vacation but I will be back in action this week. Thanks for your patience.
