Ripple unveils acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25B

#Ripple acquired #HiddenRoad, a global credit network for institutional investors, for $1.25B. The deal will be settled mainly through cash, $XRP tokens, and company stock. Subject to regulatory approval, the acquisition is expected to close in the coming months. Supported by Ripple’s substantial balance sheet, Hidden Road is set to rapidly scale its ability to serve its pipeline and position itself as the world’s largest non-bank prime broker. Hidden Road founder Marc Asch will stay on to lead Ripple’s prime brokerage division.
