i think you have two major directions in fc client design: user or community focused. > if the user is the center you get "For You" feeds and interactions like tiktok/x. Channels devolve to tags. > if the community is the center you get something like reddit. the latter is better suited for cozy corners and relationship building.

The only thing about Reddit community- and maybe I haven’t used it enough- is that most accounts feel anon. Can there be real community if most people are anon?

yeah, reputation is important there I think. Real identities are basically shortcuts for that. anecdote: I made lifelong friends through the boxing subreddit. All anon. We've been in a group chat for ~7y and attended events together.
