The most popular apps will have smart defaults. Most users donโ€™t want to muck with settings. But if we get to a protocol-based social networking future, then everyone can be happy. :)

+1. One of the reasons social media never really resonated with me, despite my efforts to try to get into it, is because the experience felt too curated and, as a result, inauthentic. That changed w/ FC bc of the quality of people/conversation. In the future, Iโ€™d love to have more granular control over my experience
