thanks! yeah in this case, the queries are all super basic, so i ended up doing an in-memory sqlite instance that just gets populated/torn down around each test. don't love it, but it's good enough for this specific case.

how are you all unit testing your js/ts apps, especially with regards to the database? hard coded records, aka fixtures? just mocking it all out in code? or is there something better? my kingdom for rails style factorybot!

I have much to learn but I’ll be a ferry boat captain to one of the local islands here. A challenge as the vessel can be loaded in many different ways depending on conditions. It becomes a diff beast. I mostly love the social aspect though.
