can never happen because farming is 365 days a year gig. something is always breaking or needing tending, you never leave. no nomading excursions, conferences, nothing. you're glued to your spot unless you have family, hired hands, friends around to pick up some of the slack if you have to get away for a few days.

100%. There are a lot of fantasies around farming/agriculture. It's a brutal, selfless, insanely demanding job. 

Pop-up farming is an impossibility. Period.

That being said, crypto should definitely be used to fund innovative farming initiatives or even subsidy some stuff. Most farmers are struggling and agriculture is being increasingly gobbled up by capital-intensive giants that turn it into a monopoly.
