Blockchain is the first cryptographic system where keys are NOT rotated and we call this a feature 😅

Early on in Bitcoin land, any time you received coins it would roll some totally new keys for you, and the UX heavily discouraged address re-use. Keys would sort of rotate themselves. Satohi had already been gone a year when HD wallets were invented for the sake of convenience, putting everything behind the same seed.

I have to say that Bitcoin was right about this Unfortunately the Account model is very different to UTXO Much harder to do key rotation per transaction Unless we migrate everyone to Smart Accounts using “session keys”

UTXO can be a pain in the ass though too. I remember in 2017 I was trying to move some mining rewards from an old address and it ended up costing like $170 in tx fees, just because there were so many txins being consolidated.
