An Address is NOT a Wallet

A Wallet is NOT an Account

Account = Chain  + Address

Wallet = Account(s) + Key(s)

… but what is a Smart Account??

The main distinction between “Normal” Accounts (EOAs) and Smart Accounts (SCAs) is the programmability

This programmability can range from different features/modules that offer signing capabilities, spending policies, recovery process, etc

A Smart Account not only can program multiple signers to control it but also how and when they can control it

A Smart Account not only can program spending policies for signers but also delegate permissions for apps to sign

Users can benefit greatly from the UX enabled by both Smart Accounts and Smart Sessions

But this added complexity also requires better interoperability between apps, wallets and infra

WalletConnect Network is fundamental to provide interoperability to this superior experience!

Wallets are able to grant these permissions to apps using Smart Sessions

Smart Sessions can always be changed or revoked from your Wallet but they remove the need to return to your Wallet to approve every action
