I would but I have like half a million dollars of life-hindering Federal student loan debt so valuation kind of shackles me until those are finally gone.

I know! Ahhh I hope it helps re-balance the value of my degrees against my actual work and income. We got absolutely wrecked financially between Biden and Trump impact to repayment programs. 🫣 I’ve been watching the growth of SLABs and the Fed student debt bubble. I think 2032 is the last sustainable year for them before we have another 2008 to fix the SLAB market like we had to fix the NINJA mortgage market.

Yep. I was on that scene in 08 finishing up something I started. Then student loan forgiveness was blasted either at that time or a little before. I think the system will detonate before the time you suggest as education is getting gutted.

I hope so too but I also hope tuition and rent reform can maybe keep higher education open and accessible like it should be. We probably need to see just what kind of chilling effect AI has versus administrators and educators in higher ed — if “Dean” and “Regeant” systems can be replaced, all those salaries cut out will bring tuition way down. But many in those admin brackets really like their 6 figure “sit in an office” salaries and will pay to stall obsolescence longer. 😂

Sure with state and federal money especially so. If the degree doesn’t result in jobs then those salaries won’t be there for long and neither will the universities. Trade schools though…

Anything that has direct hands-on materials and science for sure is fine. It’s 2025 and where I live even the least skilled electricians can still make $20-50 a pop fixing and replacing simple loose outlets and $100+ for people who can just give a professional statement about conditions of appliances, pipes, wood… 😂 I went into law when IP was “hot” but without qualifying for the patent bar on the idea “soft IP” would always be a hot hiring market. The 2015-2016 statistics released that tanked many law schools rankings (including mine) proved that was a lie when I was already halfway in. 🥲

Yep. There is a glut of the traditional high paying professions and of course most of those have the soul crushing debt you mention since everything is pay to play. I have a feeling class actions are the place to be…
