AMA about Discord 2016-Present, let me be your resource person for free. I just like guiding projects on how to make the best of it.

I founded and administrate one of (if not the first) 501c3 charity to join Discord for a transformative cause. I was among one of the original partners (couldn’t make the party had too much work to do!) with the hoodies they sent before they overhauled the program to be more about profit metrics, and we moved to being a Verified channel instead.

I also ran a bot “InCharacter” that gained a large server following (Early Verified Dev badge!) up until about a year or so ago due to some changes in the platform and liabilities with bots like it so we wound up the project to re-launch later and safer. I learned JS/TS and Python thanks to Discord.

It’s quieter now as we’ve been spending the past 4 years or so on a massive $10,000+ project but I plan to run a server overhaul next month after we have our city meeting with a local municipality to discuss “stuff.” 👀🎭🧑🏻‍🏫🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🏫📑
