Who am I? š§ I was attending law school and playing Final Fantasy XIV between reading sprints dispirited I couldnāt get involved with the local experimental theatre (my undergraduate thesis was in theatre of the absurd) or even see their Doctor Who production due to my heavy law school schedule and internships. But I could take a break to play this game for a bit, and some people were doing skit and costume contests for Halloween. That was the beginning of A Stage Reborn, and we launched a virtual costume contest on October 31, 2015. The rest is a long tumultuous fledgling online charityās journey to present day where Iām no longer leading the Board, but Iām still volunteering in the trenches ā unpaid you should know ā making arts more accessible as the organizationās Executive Director, and Board member-advisor. I founded A Stage Reborn because it was proof all arts do not need the same brick and mortar stage or limelight, yet can still be as closely interconnected as seemingly distant.
