1/ Exactly 1 year ago, we (=SEcurity ALliance; SEAL) launched a big and bold experiment: SEAL 911. In my words, it's "The lifeline for emergencies" designed to connect with a small group of highly trusted security professionals in case of emergency. But enough cheap talk, so, what have we achieved in the past 365 days? - ~$100M USD saved (guesstimate including phishing prevention measures) - 916 tickets handled (78 in 2023 & 838 in 2024 so far) - Actively managed +100 war rooms - Blocked over +100k phishing domains - Built the best-in-class SEAL 911 team of 46 volunteers: https://github.com/security-alliance/seal-911. Give them a big shoutout because they selflessly help you. š https://x.com/samczsun/status/1688613385565528064

2/ WHY is SEAL 911 actually important? - It empowers white hats with a trusted way to report vulnerabilities for projects with and without bounty programs. - Scammed users often feel isolated and don't know whom to talk to. While we can't always recover their money, we provide emotional support and guidance on legal options. - SEAL 911 gives people hope that there are indeed folks out there trying to help and not just scam them! (a very important aspect in our space!)

3/ WHAT can SEAL 911 help with: Simply put: ping us for any emergency - Vulnerability disclosure - White hat rescue - Hacker negotiations - Ongoing exploit - Phishing scam - Pig butchering / Sha Zhu Pan - Malware - Account takeovers - Fake wallets / extensions - ā¦ If we don't have the right skills internally, we probably have the connections to people who do.
