Arweave and Filecoin are def being used by devs, I followed storj & sia for years and was pretty active in those projects but not sure how they are doing now. What’s stopping us is complexity, bad ux, and moats. Apple isn’t going to offer to backup to Storj instead of iCloud but they are viable 4 r/selfhosted folks

Anything stopping you personally from backing up your data one of these? Is it cost? Or no need for this with personal data?

I used storj for a long time but haven't recently, can't remember the exact reasons.., I'm back to old school local storage and backups, hardly use any cloud solutions for my personal data.

I think it's just all about convenience now, I have a lot less time than I did 5, 10 years ago, so I really like time machine, set it and forget it type solution.
