Strange topic, but are there any cool consumer medical devices for collecting personal metrics? Withings has a really nice suite of devices where you can export weight/temperature/blood pressure history to your doctor. Curious what else is out there... Does the Star Trek Tricorder exist yet?

the oura ring is probably the lowest barrier to entry for most metrics, and id suggest it over apple watch. less functionality, but less headache. if youre looking for weight measurements withings is probably as good as anything. if you have a doctor that will pay attention to this information theyre a legend ❤️

ive been out of the wearables game for a while so no idea about blood pressure but thats the toughest, compliance-wise. it takes a good 10-15 minutes to get a good resting reading and ive been to very few gps that wait that long anyway. if you can adhere to it you might get more consistent readings outside the clinic
