"Persian Vibes" Today I want to tell about Sizdah Bedar. It’s the 13th day of Nowruz, and in Persian culture, it’s the day we all head outdoors to celebrate the start of spring. It’s basically a big picnic day with family and friends, and one of the fun traditions is throwing sabzeh (those green sprouts we grow for Nowruz) into running water. It’s meant to wash away bad luck. I usually go to the river with my family to eat, laugh, and just enjoy being outside. It kind of feels like our way of saying goodbye to the Nowruz holidays. Do you have anything like this in your culture? a day to just get out and enjoy nature?
