I was walking through the park when I saw someone struggling to carry a heavy box. Without thinking, I walked over and offered to help. They smiled and nodded, grateful for the extra hands. We carried the box to a bench, where they took a deep breath and thanked me. “I didn’t realize how heavy it was,” they laughed. I smiled back and said, “It happens to all of us.” After a short chat, they picked up the box again, this time with a little more confidence. As they walked away, they turned back and waved. It was a small moment, but it felt good to help.
