Hi, I’m Manu, a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Hamburg, 🇩🇪 now calling Austin, TX, my home. My visual expression is deeply influenced by nature and its many wonders, but I am equally captivated by the intricacies of the human condition and the mysteries of space. Art allows me to channel my personal perception of the world and positive emotions through a variety of mediums and has always served as therapy for depression and hardships in my life.

Blending a fine art foundation with creative tech, my practice spans photography, physical drawings and collages, and digital creations crafted with cutting-edge tools. 

My art journey has been a full-circle adventure: from childhood dreams of being a full-time artist, to a professional career in interactive media, and now thriving in a hybrid creative space.

After studying Fine Arts for a few semesters, I moved on to focus on New Media and worked at a local boutique design agency, teaching myself the early Adobe apps, Macromedia Flash and QuarkXPress. I eventually started working as a freelancer creating brand identities and websites, got accepted into Columbia and Parsons School of Design in NYC, and made my way to NYC...

Once I arrived, it painfully sunk in that I wouldn't have enough funds to sustain myself going to school, so the first thing I did before running out of money was finding a job. I was in luck and worked 14 years in various roles, creating layouts, newsletters, interactive media and motion design projects for corporate clients.
