My bf’s mother tongue is French and he often uses French expressions when we communicate in English - this has led to some really funny miscommunications and ideas, so I started to write them down

for example, he would say “install yourself on the couch” which is a way to say ‘feel at home’ in French:

That's so funny! Languages can sometimes lead to the most amusing misunderstandings.
I guess these little mix-ups are just part of the beauty and challenges of cross-cultural communication!😄
