Today, my coworker brought me a variety of Khao Tan, so I’d love to share them with you all! Khao Tan is a traditional Thai snack that originated in northern Thailand. It consists of thin, crispy rice cakes typically enjoyed as a light treat. The rice is mixed with sweet fruit juices like watermelon, longan, or sugarcane before being pressed into molds and flattened. After sun-drying, the cakes are deep-fried to achieve their signature golden, crispy texture.
