Never underestimate the value of art. The pleasure of being creative and appreciating others creativity. 
The beauty of art is that it is so subjective. There is something for everyone. It is all inclusive and you don't have to be "good" at it, you can just enjoy the creative process and the freedom of expressing yourself. For me, as an artist, I find joy, meaning and a sense of purpose through art.

Too often creativity is undervalued in our society and more specifically within the educational and governmental systems that shape our lives. 
I believe that creative expression, in all its forms, is a fundamental part of being human and contributes greatly to our wellbeing. 

Looking at the bigger picture, creativity is in fact a crucial aspect of life itself; from the birth of the universe to the evolution of humankind and the societies and technologies we co-create.
