Meet Angelika Kollin @angelikakollin We had the honor of chatting 1/1 with Angelika on @farhouse this Tuesday and we think the whole world should know her through her life story and art in the Pkok Collection. Angelika is a self-taught fine art and documentary photographer currently based in Tampa, Florida. Her work is driven by a lifelong desire to comprehend and gain insight into human loneliness and suffering, as well as to study the role of faith in overcoming these challenges. Angelika's passion in photography and art derives from a desire to delve into the complexities of inter-human connections and the deeper meaning of human existence. In her photography, she strives for a straight and honest portrayal, while also incorporating personal thoughts and grace. Angelika is known primarily for her portraiture and documentary-style photography, and she derives tremendous satisfaction from working on personal, long-term photographic projects that allow for in-depth investigation of her topics of interest.

She was born in Estonia, at that time part of the USSR but together with her family, she emigrated to Germany and, in 1993, got her first cheap plastic camera. Since that moment, the camera has become her life companion. Over the course of eight years, she had the opportunity to live in African countries such as Ghana, Namibia, and South Africa. This experience allowed her to investigate parallel subjects across cultures and economic conditions, significantly broadening her field of work. As she is saying, ‘I came to Africa as a photographer but left as an artist’. "Everyday Saints"
