Ripple supporters are optimistic about possible changes in the leadership of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  Rumors have surfaced that Caroline A. Crenshaw, the anti-cryptocurrency commissioner, will not be reappointed.

 Also, Donald Trump's nomination of cryptocurrency advocate Paul Atkins to head the SEC has raised hopes for a more positive approach to innovation.  These changes could help settle the SEC case against Ripple.
