One day, an old man’s horse ran away. The people said, “What bad luck!”
The old man said, “How do you know?”
The next day, the horse returned with several wild horses.
The people said, “What good luck!”
The old man said, “How do you know?”
The old man’s son fell off one of the horses and broke his leg.

The next day, people came from the city and took all the young men to war, except the old man’s son whose leg was broken.
