Maybe we could encourage people to cast more about what their bookish interests are and what kind of reader they are.

It may feel out off place because right now the focus is very much on the books themselves, but even recommendations can become more meaningful when you know who is behind the recommendation.

I’m a voracious, curious, whimsical kind of reader. One of my favorite things is to find a writer I like and then read one of their favorite writers. 

I also love recommending books to people.
