- Trad ads (Super Bowl) = leaky bucket unless the product has mass appeal - Targeted online ads are specific but intermediaries take a margin. - Targeted tipping ensures 100% of funds go directly to the intended recipient $Degen emerging as a more universal, platform-agnostic token of appreciation/incentive ๐ฉ ๐

- Institutional/grants/VC funding often opaque, subject to concentrated interests & disconnected from the actual users of products/services. - $Degen tipping = passionate user communities collectively funding ideas/experiments through a bottoms-up, transparent process, rewarding quality. study /degenangels ๐ฉ ๐

- IRL tip norms are awry & arbitraryโโwe tip waiters but not journalists, delivery people but not bus drivers - $Degen tips are egalitarian, meritocratic. Journo Rachel earned $9k, what might a team earn? Emma earned $5k for a moving /spanish aphorism, how might pro poets, writers, philosophers fare? ๐ฉ ๐

Volatility, irrationality, & grifters are all but inevitable. The early internet is still learning ways to adapt to the nigerian prince's emails. Yet the underlying utility being built on L3 indicates value accretion above & beyond any value destruction as norms like doxxed teams (e.g. @wake.eth or /ATH) bed in ๐ฉ ๐
