Underground forest It is the largest and deepest natural sinkhole on earth. It is located in Penji, the center of China. This spectacular sinkhole is completely natural and has a depth of 662 meters and a width of 537 meters. The most surprising thing about it that baffles geologists is that it was built on top of a cave, where an 8.5 km long underground river flows in the form of a magnificent waterfall. Its enormous size makes it the deepest sinkhole in the world. It is home to about 1,300 species of plants and wildlife. One of the most interesting creatures of this subterranean forest is the Misty Panther, known to the locals since ancient times.
