Noob question but can someone explain how $DEGEN works to me. I know that people “tip” it under posts and sometimes I randomly see degen tokens in my wallet. 

But I’m not really sure how to get started with tipping. Also I don’t see as many people tipping anymore, is the degen tip phase over?

If you lock degen you receive a tip allocation which you can use to tip other users 

The Degen you see in your wallet is likely from Warpcast rewards because you need to manually claim tipped degen

People don’t tip much anymore yeah

Thank you for explaining, do you know how much degen you need to lock to get and allocation.

Also I feel like I’ve missed out on the degen tips I’ve received because I’ve never claimed anything. RIP
