CryptoPunk #6915 changed hands for 620 ETH ($1.48 million). In March of this year, when monthly NFT sales were ~$1.6 billion, bids for #6915 ranged from $5 million to $6 million. The paper price of the token has dropped 78% since then. The community found the refusal of the deal in March strange and called the sale at the current price madness. Some pointed to fictitious nature to change market participants' perceptions regarding the price or liquidity of an asset.
