Recent investigations into the Cosmos ecosystem have prompted discussions about the origins of its Liquid Staking Module (LSM). An onchain analysis suggests that some developers associated with the LSM might have ties to North Korea. Jacob Gadikian, a developer within the Cosmos community, pointed out a potential link to the Lazarus hacking group, which is known for significant cryptocurrency security breaches, such as the $600 million Ronin bridge incident. In response to these findings, Cosmos co-founder Ethan Bachman has stated that the team was previously unaware of any such connections. He emphasized their commitment to transparency by initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.
