Monday, September 2nd, 2024. It's been three days since Twitter has been banned by the Supreme Court in Brazil. The decision comes as part of a legal and political battle between the social network's owner, Elon Musk, and the Brazilian authorities. The use of VPNs or any subterfuge by users to access the network is subject to a fine of ~9000 USD, per day. The ban is likely to affect a significant number of artists that use the network to share artworks and talk to friends and collectors. https://zora.co/collect/base:0x6cadc6ea177711aceda2ff6664c8a9be9d70ab47/1

I can understand the brazillian's government point in this matter, but the fine threat crossed the line in my opinion. Punishing citizens because you're beefing with a foreign billionaire is nothing short of dictatorial. We should not comply.

Minted! Do you believe the fine is gonna work for real? I thinks it's weird because, how will they find us if we are using vpn? 🤔

WOAH I didn't know about the fine! Still, I hope x, meta and other brands platforms living of selling our content and data will tank forever. Let's finally entirely move to a Web3.
