Today is the anniversary of adopting my son. My best day. Right now, he loves it too. I never can decide if I'm being weird though, always holding space for him for when today becomes complicated for him. It will, and I don't want him to worry about my feelings and pretending to be 100% if he's partially sad.

I've lost the Mom that raised me but happened to find and re-unite with my Bio Mom around the same. I've also a sister from my adopted family who I'm now separated from. Life is crazy and if I could get my life together financially... I hope to pay it forward one day some how - I'm also probably too old now though. There's always a special place in my hear for people who do 🤗

I didn't know that. He has an older sister and maybe a younger brother. It broke my heart for him when they cut off contact but I do my best to be open when he asks questions. I try but I know I haven't been in those shoes. I have a lot of empathy for his other momma. She is young enough to be my daughter and probably needed a safe home to go to when she was a kid.
