being a channel owner has made me absolutely detest gm/gn posts. I used to like the daily GM post, especially on Twitter in 21-22. But now I see it as nothing more than a lazypost when you have nothing to say.

Oh sad! Itβs annoying yeah but, also like my daily practice to stay involved and say hi especially- if im going to not be around making glass and stuff all day. I do think of one day making my last GM post and smashing my glass gms β¦

Wait, do you mean that you've made sculptural GMS out of glass?? That would be quite a dramatic gesture to smash them... I'm always glad that people show up to say hi in the channel... But GM increasingly feels like the obligatory passing hello to the neighbor whose name you never bothered to ask. Skirts the line of antisocial behavior.

For me, its been an extension of Beepleβs influence to make daily art and to say hi, Im still here in web3 No ill will honestly but, I get the hate and makes me think your feeling like that scene from Grounhogs day

I loved it for the community aspect, but with all the low effort Moxie farming, GM seems like the same grade content. People want to be seen and heard but aren't willing to take a moment to think of anything to say. I've started to regard it as selfish and inconsiderate behavior. Flooding the timeline with placeholder content rather than actually saying anything.
