I am happy.

Been wondering how I can best explain this year, everything I’ve done, experienced, the opportunities and learnings. And the one thing I realized coming out of this year is: I am happy. Happy like I haven’t been in many many years.

Farcaster has allowed me to build an audience, something I never had on twitter (outside of rl friends but that’s different.) I got to prove myself by hacking on frames, posting fun stuff, be a bit daring. We did Powerbald /lotto which went crazyyy and I got to be part of a ridiculously fun community called /degen

Degen allowed me to try stuff and be open about my not so mainstream compatible side, without fear that I might lose my normie audience. On farcaster we’re all a bit degen anyways 🎩 The energy here is amazing. So many fun but still tasteful ideas. I’m looking forward to hacking more with y’all here!

If you’ve been following me for a while you might have heard that $DEGEN is my biggest success ever 🎩 I was an early believer, claimed my airdrop and immediately bought more. Zuzalu

With @lottopgf and /ottodao we’re gathering a community that wants to hack on cool, meaningful stuff and I’m so glad that so many people are joining us 💜 I got to meet incredible people who I look up to and become great friends with them. Ultimately I got to meet the /zuzalu community.

Zuzalu is peak community to me. It’s so much energy, incredible people who are aligned but different enough to have deep exchange of ideas, views and learn from each other. You travel around the world, experience different cultures and get to stay with old and new friends all year round! So many great builders there.

Through Zuzalu I got to meet people who I’m now calling my best friends, and it’s only been five months since I started getting involved! My first major event was @zuvillage had an amazing time in Georgia, talking, hacking, contributing, taking in all the information. Even discovered a new sport for me, Padel! 🎾

After that I did the road to Devcon, spending 3! months in Thailand 🤯 I can now say that those were the best three months of my life. The amount of incredible people in Chiang Mai, Bangkok and Pattaya was ridiculous. Every day learning from the brightest minds in a beautiful country with beautiful people 💜

blockravers

I also got to meet the /blockravers there. A group of people that throw the best parties at every crypto event, but also deeply care for their community and causes.  I wasn’t the biggest party person before but with friends like this I want to go crazyyyy! Together we closed the Thailand saga at Wonderfruit

Wonderfruit was a magical experience, many different people, connected through spirituality and amazing music. I got to party all night with the Blockravers and new friends I made on the dance floor and in true Blockravers fashion we stayed till the very very end, when the sun set on the final day.

Now after Thailand I got to be with family and celebrate Christmas calming down a bit. 

Only to go back into craziness at the Chaos Communication Congress 😅 A regular event I do every year! A hotpot of creativity, colorful people, bright minds. It invites people to be themself, come together and find community

At congress this year I partied, invited new friends and hung out, I hacked on /swords ⚔️ I visited some presentations, I had deep talks, got inspired by the passion of open source communities, got ensured what I’m doing is the right thing to do.

It was a great year. My best one yet. I  now know what I want, where I want to go. I don’t want to do the same old shit anymore. I want to change, be open, be daring, colorful. Create things, be artsy, learn new crafts, find more and more community.

This old life is over. The new one starts tomorrow 🚀

$DEGEN allowed me to become independent and focus on my own ideas, without worrying (too much) about money. What came out of this is @lottopgf - funneling degen energy into good outcomes. I wanted to do more meaningful things with blockchain and allowing public goods and communities to fund themself is exactly that!
