MY Ā£200M DEAL negotiations are under way š«š! š Iāve signed an NDA so canāt reveal who, what or how - but once the investment has been made then of course I can tell you more..or youāll hear all about it from the press š. ā In the meantime here are some tips for investors and fund managers negotiating with company founders: ā¤ļø You are planning to be in a long term relationship here (at least 5 years), so empower the founders rather than disempowering them in negotiations. ā¤ļø Make yourself the āmoney magnetā - Iāve told the founders literally anytime they need money for a new venture in future, I would be happy to be the one to raise it.. ā¤ļø LEARN what the highest values are in the founding team and make sure your efforts only help steer them in the right direction. š¤© REVERSE ENGINEER the EXIT as best as possibleā¦for instance I want to see this investment exit at least Ā£1.5Billionā¦ So every move we make now I will ensure it allows this to occur..š«
