@floofys just challenged the removal request of the Esports Events flow by @pip. This flow was originally sponsored by @rocketman

The eSports Event flow and the organizers funded by the flow act as a wonderful introduction for those unacquainted to Nouns and the greater Nouniverse. Based on available data (flows and youtube), the events exposed 333 tournament participants, an untold number of spectators, and 4800 individual views on YouTube. With prizes being given out as USDC and organizers encouraging their attendees to participate on nouns. gg, individuals are brought on-chain and have the opportunity to further explore the ecosystem. eSport events by themselves align very well with nounish values: (1/6)

+Do good with no expectation of return:
-Most organizers spend countless hours ensuring that participants at their events have a good time regardless if they’re playing or their skill level. 
-The organizers I’ve spoken with are passionate about their community, uplift their members, and are just a pleasure to talk to.
-In most cases, even without funding, organizers are making it work on a shoe-string budget for the love of their community. 
-Any profit made is typically re-invested back into the event for the benefit of the community.

+Embrace absurdity and difference:
-The eSport events I’ve been to seem to have a great cast of characters from young college students, fathers, that one old dude that decided to pick up melee (thats me), LGBTQ, families, and more.
-These events offer a safe place for everyone and create an opportunity for these different groups to intermingle and discuss new ideas like Nouns. All are welcome.

+Teach people about nouns and crypto:
-Nouns branding on the events is common and organizers are often excited to share with their attendees about who is sponsoring their event. 
-Payouts are commonly provided in USDC and organizers typically assist their tournament winners with creating wallets.
-Organizers introduce their attendees and audience to nouns.gg which in itself is a great onboarding tool with lots of good information being dispersed with the quest system. It personally piqued my curiosity and turned me from someone who found crypto to be somewhat nefarious to someone who is now excited and invigorated about the opportunities it can bring.

Is there ways this flow could be better? I definitely think so as there is always room for improvement, however, I think in its current form it is bringing benefit to Nouns by introducing individuals to the group in a setting that directly parallels Noun's core values. New people bring new ideas which I believe is what will keep Nouns nounish and successful.

+Create positive externalities:
-These events bring together people that may have not met otherwise and help form local communities.
-Many people get married to other smash players. We help each other find jobs. We hang out with each other. It’s a true third space in a post-religion America.
-I can speak from personal experience that as someone in their early 30s I’ve made more friends at eSport related events than I have in other settings. I think most people my age can attest to how difficult it is to make friends as life goes on. I am pleasantly surprised of the number of happy people I’ve met at these type of events.
