Finally watched Planes, Trains, and Automobiles last night. At one point, John Candyâs character mentions that he âhasnât been home in yearsâ, and you get a window into the freedom and existential emptiness of being a salesperson on the road. I wonât ruin the movie with the twist at the end, but highly recommend. Itâs sort of Groundhog Day-lite. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0093748/
