what do you think about the possibility that you will eventually just feed everything you've ever done to an AI and that's how it will become legible to you. feels on-brand in its premium mediocrity

the *hope* as i see it is the creation of a forum where these issues can be openly discussed with in-person levels of civility befitting the world we are attempting to create. avoiding them altogether is not an option afaict.

these conversations are not going away and they are going to intrude on the web3 rainbow-fest whether anyone likes it or not. examples: -Balaji explicitly calling out Democrats -Ye's Jewish media followed by the almost entirely Jewish FTX drama if web3 is the place to put your head in the sand then it will get eaten

i think FC should be the place where we have the difficult conversations re: everything (culture war, the future) with more vulnerability and less toxicity & dunking reading the replies to @dwr.eth suggestion and agreeing with @vgr on pent-up demand leads me to believe everyone can only play nice and polite for so long...

many of the examples given like keto kosher or vegan-world represent lifestyle choices. the idea of the one commandment is that the thing that brings people together must be much stronger than just affinity--closer to religion.

my suggestion was meant to not discourage power users from following 20k like @pmarca cc @dwr.eth most *real* users who follow lots of people likely still have more followers than they follow

right now most of the ppl following me seem to do something like follow everyone on the app because they're promoting something (themselves maybe). the suggestion was just a way to discourage self-promotional (~parasitic) type of behavior. there are likely better mechanisms but that one at least seems simple.

FC suggestion: maximum following vs follower. for instance, maybe you can only follow 2100 (nod to Satoshi) more people than follow you everything about the experience here is so good except for getting followed & checking notifications and seeing follows 4800 followed by 500 over and over. feel a bit duped each time
