Girls, what are your theories about the number of scams in the crypto world? It seems we must accept this reality and become more aware because it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in it; every day, scams get smarter. I just read about a guy who clicked an influencer's link, connected his wallet, and lost 25K because the influencer's profile was hacked…

Girl, this is our bread and butter haha, every day a new story like this, unfortunately. My tried-and-true strategy is to consider everything a scam until proven otherwise (I'm that person who spent 3 days in 2018 researching if Coinbase was a scam 😆 ). But hey, this approach has definitely kept me safe, and I've never been scammed. (knock on wood)

That’s a good strategy and which aspects are the most important to you to determine if a project is a scam or not ?

Well, good question, but this is not only about projects; it's also about tools, platforms, quests, links, etc. For projects, I usually consider the team's track record, social profiles, and transparency in general… Although these factors suggest there are no initially malicious intentions, things can still go very much south regardless - with hacks, exploits, legal issues, etc. So I guess, we can never be sure we are 100% safe 😅

Yup well said! I read a guy who shared he uses two wallets one for connect with sites for the first time and his main wallet. I think is a good one too… I don’t know I’m not the type of person who is too much into projects and crypto investments just buy coins time to time and that’s it but I think all this scams are a big part I never feel like “let’s explore and move here and there” and that’s sad hahaha

Oh, I use a different wallet for almost everything, and a different email for each exchange and other platforms. Hahaha, decentralization at its best. Wallets are a universe in themselves, as the extensions can be corrupted. Always revoke permissions as well and triple-check where you connect - make sure that it’s the legitimate link of a DEX and not a similar one that managed to appear first on Google. There are many tricks, like using different types of characters or 'l' instead of 'I', and so on… I used to trade heavily in 2019-2022 but I don’t have time anymore haha and nor brain power 🤣
