This is quite comprehensive but the Era of banning crypto has mostly phased off. Most governments are looking for ways to regulate and incorporate it. 

The major reason currently AFAIK is the tariff war that has sparked massive sell off in all financial markets. The stock market is even taking a harder hit than the Crypto market 🤷‍♂️

But I really feel there's more to it because the direct effect on consumers and on the daily lives of the average Americans is a bit downplayed.
