Open opinion markets matter Prediction markets are cool. Yet limited. They can be manipulated by whales & generally lack liquidity—outside of each US election, every 4 years. Yet the mechanism of prediction markets is fun. Very fun. We are seeing already that people love to play, even when they lose. We launched ions, our onchain liquidity as a fair launch. Anyone with a wallet can play for free & win. Collect ions, then stake them each day to win more. It creates liquidity in markets where soon, people can win real tokens. Ions to access the market, tokens from projects if they win. This is already driving engagement. This unlock for ecosystems is exciting. Give your community something to do. Great news! The Rarimo community has passed the proposal for us to receive the grant! Rarimo is the first ecosystem to support our vision in open opinion markets. By integrating Rarimo’s decentralized identity tech, users will soon be able to build out a social profile based on their performance, social score & onchain activity. For users, this means you get rewarded for the actions you take & how you engage on Openion. For communities, it means you reward the users that actively take part.
