As we continue to move towards decentralized socials, the elephant in the room needs to be addressed. There needs to be a tactful solution for handling phishing and impersonation. As it stands, no such solution exists. I am hoping to chat with anyone willing to brainstorm potential options.

Think there are 2 different issues here. 1. Losing your DID through phishing 2. Impersonation by stealing a DID Wallet recovery is more relevant for 1. For 2, protocols could post a warning if identity has been moved in the past 24h etc

Linking together other social accounts via cryptographic proof from the other channels can build a web of trust. Keybase did this previously and we can do it in a more decentralized way.
