1/ I’ve been thinking about how fragile the internet really is for distributed systems. We build decentralized networks, but they all rely on the same centralized, high-latency backbone. 2/ Validators talk over the public internet. That's like trying to run high-frequency trading algorithms over a Zoom call. You can’t guarantee speed, and you can’t guarantee reliability. 3/ DoubleZero is going after that exact problem. They're building a decentralized network made up of private, underutilized fiber links. 4/ Anyone with access to fiber can join the network as a provider. They get rewarded for proving throughput — not just uptime, but actual bandwidth and performance. https://doublezero.xyz/
