Bhutan government moves $63M BTC to three wallets Bhutan moved $63 million in Bitcoin on March 24, with one wallet now holding 600 BTC worth $53 million. The country has mined Bitcoin since 2019 using hydroelectric power, with its holdings now at $889.9 million, or 30.7% of GDP. Bhutan also holds Ether and other cryptocurrencies. In October 2024, it moved $66 million in BTC to Binance. The Gelephu Special Administrative Region plans to recognize digital assets as part of its strategic reserve. El Salvador and the U.S. have seen Bitcoin holdings grow during the bull run. U.S. states like Texas and Arizona are considering Bitcoin reserve bills.
