it is not the reason you think so is literally that everyone else in your environment thinks so there is no scientific and logical benefit to dying, even evolutionary

Just to play devils advocate, young people are overall more progressive and willing to learn, whereas older people are more conservative and dont retain as much information. You could argue that living forever cound actually hinder innovation.
