Progress update on my Giant Purple Origami Top Hat. I am using poster board so it holds its shape better. I ended up cutting my crease lines and then taping them back together. Remaining are the folds to create the brim. I also have a fancy band planned to finish it off. To the right is the final-sized test hat.
