I actually agree. There’s a certain lack of flow that disappears with it I think. Even for GD and illo commissions I’ve done in the past myself I think I’ve generally made a total mess of the layers and then cleaned them all up right at the end a job I hate to do but and always tell myself I’ll be better but I never do it. 🤣

ive definitely gotten shit for not naming my layers but that was in a graphic design situation, which i guess makes sense, but some people put their layers in folders and subfolders and some color code them and i think those people are the most unhappy in life.

I feel like I must have spent thousands of hours combined at the end of pieces looking for some little line I’ve stuck in on its own stupid layer. Imagine if I spent all that time doing ab crunches or something I’d be ripped. Lol

Think about all the extra time you would have had due to being organized. Too much time on your hands can be a bad thing though, some say. Better to be safe and continue not naming them 🤷‍♂️
