I find the subject matter of this book extremely relevant given the state of the world today.

Humans never change. 

The reason to read history is to be prepared for the future.

Think about that for a second.

"Humans never change" - on the topic of why history repeats (or at least rhymes), I found "The Fourth Turning" a very fascinating read. Loved the basic premise of tying human lifespans to cycles of history. No wonder we have now started retracing 1930's!
