Now that the mainnet gas limit has increased to the point where a normal tx is 5 cents, do you expect to see some traction return to the Ethereum ecosystem or do you think the fractured liquidity and UX issues posed by the sidechains/layers 2s to keep the ball in Solana's court?

I think people overstate the UX issues and liquidity fragmentation too. Most of defi is still on Eth. I do think the gas limit change will help though, especially when it's busy season and a big launch goes really smoothly compared to how it used to.

Most defi is still on the mainnet and before this change I would have guessed that it was moving to L2s slowly but surely. Now it seems like maybe that won't be the case though, but I guess time will tell. Maybe the fragmentation is less of an issue but normies have a difficult enough time getting into crypto that I'm sure bridging is going to deter some users. Idk, maybe Solana is just having a moment cause people really love to gamble these days? Shrug. The complaint I always hear from casual users is that Ethereum is too costly to use and when I explain how cheap L2s are it never really seems to hit home.
