Was hoping for a fun and exciting day taking my 2 year olds upper body cast off after 3 months. We were going to go swimming. But it turned out there was a spot in the cast on her side that caused a pressure ulcer, a wound she had for some time and we had no idea... She hadn't cried in pain or anything just some discomfort from the cast. Mom & me feel horrible but she's doing awesome, she's really tough. But instead of a new cast on new years eve to continue her scoliosis treatment it'll be at least 6 weeks they say. And healing this is going to be difficult with a 2 year old who wants to move and doesn't understand. But I am grateful for good care from Seattle Children's Hospital and she'll be alright it just is always one thing after another. Sending love to all those who had a tough day! 🫂🫂 ah that’s tough! We had quite the 48 hours over here involving me getting an injured nose from playing with my kid and then them coming down with a bad cold today on the first day in 9 months that my wife were both free to see a movie together. That didn’t happen lol. Hope ur little one heals up fast !
