We're about to start building a new tool at Dive aimed at solving one of the pain points for job seekers during recruitment. For those of you currently/recently looking for work, what tools would make your job search smoother?

It would be cool to be able to search jobs by skill set rather than what sector it is and your job history. This probably exists but I haven't seen it 🤷‍♂️

Would this search target the job’s required skill set or your skill set as a candidate?

I think what would be cool is if I could get suggestions for jobs I might apply for based on my skill set that I might not have thought of because they're in a different field. For my current situation as one example I am a government worker, an appraiser. I'm interested in other jobs but not really in appraisal probably because the ceiling isn't much higher than I'm at now. I have transferrable skills but wouldn't know what to look at.

Good context thanks. Pretty much how our previous version of Dive worked and what we aim to get back to eventually. Fill out profile with work history, skills, etc., then receive targeted job recs that either align with your work history or your skill set. Scaling back and building a suite of tools one at a time now to get back to a fuller platform later.
